How can an adjunct media arts program, designed to dramatize social studies or science curriculum, build teamwork, reinforce academic excellence and inspire leadership within a peer group?
Program Overview
Drama Add is a unique educational theater arts program for 5th – 8th grade students. Drama Add is structured and organized as a 7 week, project-cased program designed to enhance and enrich existing classroom curriculum or function as a stand-alone program. Drama Add is easily integrated into any social studies, language arts and environmental science unit requiring minimal preparation. The goal of Drama Add’s multidisciplined program is to culminate essential research, writing, technology and acting skills with minimum set design and costume choices into short video presentations. The final project portrays visionary leaders, inventors and environmentalists of cultures past and present which are created from a dynamic learning process that emphasizes the importance of what inspired leadership accomplishes for the betterment of humanity.
